Fulltiming in a Class B Van

Fulltiming in a class B van may seem crazy, but couples are even doing it.  Other people are doing it in even smaller campers or vans!

A class B RV has all of the features of an RV... (toilet, shower, kitchen, and bed) but in a very compact space.

So full timing in a class B is a lot about simplifying and living with less. But those who are doing it say it's liberating. I can't wait to be able to tell my own story on this, but until then, I'll direct you to those who are doing it.

Meet Glenn. He's traveling in his Falcon 190 and blogs all about it. Visit his website, To Simplify. (Link opens in a new window)

Quick Tips

  • Only take the necessary with you. You know, things you KNOW you'll use
  • Take care of all required prep work for your van (engine, transmission, tires, propane lines, water pump, etc)
  • Get yourself a nice road map and/or GPS unit
  • If you plan ahead, you can have mail sent to General Delivery at most local post offices
  • Prepare to take lots of pictures
  • If you have a laptop (great for storing pictures) get a desk that will work inside your class B
