House Boat Trips

Do you have dreams of house boat trips? Good! Because this page will give you an overview of house boat vacations.

There is no simpler way of enjoying a houseboat than by traveling somewhere nearby where you can rent and enjoy one like it is yours—without all of the hassles of actual ownership.

A trip like this can be fun and exciting for the entire family. There are boats that can sleep up to 10 people! That means you might be able to split the cost of the vacation with family members and/or friends.

And heck, you might even find that an available rental is only twenty to thirty minutes away. If not, then you have got yourself a worthy road trip!

Most of the rentals are for large houseboats that are around 40'. Pricing seems to be about $350-$400 per night. At this price you would be enjoying a large air conditioned houseboat that sleeps at least 6. Depending on where you rent you might get kayaks you can use, a dinghy, snorkel gear, etc.

Furnishings and features include fully functional kitchens, bathrooms, dishwashers, television, slides, and more. So WHERE can I rent one? Great question, below are a few places that I know of.

In Florida you can check out the Floriday Keys, Sanibel Island, Saint John's River, and Suwannee River.

In Georgia there's Lake Lanier Islands. In Virginia check out Smith Mountain Lake.

Then there's Lake Travis and Lake Amistad in Texas and Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas. Tennessee has Kentucky Lake, Norris Lake, and Dale Hollow.

Kentucky has Lake Barkley and Lake Cumberland. And there is more to explore within California, Washington, Illinois, Montana, Michigan, and more...
