Electric Bicycle Hub

An electric bicycle hub motor can be installed on a modified bicycle to give it extra power.

Coupled with charged up batteries the e-bike's motor gives you assistance whenever you want (as long as you've charged up).

You can pedal normally too. Some people only use it when needed (going uphill, tough headwinds, or when to take it easy when tired).

I think a regular bicycle with no additional power is cool because you might as well be getting exercise -- but for someone who is considering a scooter, or is using a bike as the main source of transportation -- this is a pretty awesome alternative.

Especially one set up like this one...

Watch the video below -- it's a bicycle set up with a hub motor and is still light weight and can reach up to 38 MPH! Plus it's really smooth and silent compared to ANY motor. You'll get the idea in the video...

It's set up on 48 volts with 1000 watts. And incredibly enough the bike still weighs less than 10 pounds.

Here's another cool / similar "hub" ebike set up...
